3 Weeks into Diet

It has been just about 3 weeks on my body building diet. It has worked out great. I am down 9 pounds. My pants are falling off me. I have to start wearing a belt. But I am not ready to buy new clothes yet. I am very excited. I have never been this low since college. I can start seeing more of my muscle showing through. It is a great feeling to see my hard work over the last 5 months start paying off. It has been 5 months since my last pictures of myself. I will take them again. I don't think I'm ready to post before and mid pictures yet. June will be my first competition so I will definitely post by then.

I am a little wary of how well I will do in the competition. I have four kids, which leads to much excess skin in the belly region. I don't know if dieting down will get rid of that since I stretched beyond repair. We'll see.

I have been on a clean diet of almost 3 weeks. The first week was very easy. I followed the diet perfectly and lost 5 pounds. Now I am starting to change it up a little because the food is getting boring. I am one to keep eating the same thing over and over again. So far, I have only had 2-3 times I wanted to cheat. However, I am now strong enough to be able to resist. Last night, I wanted honey barbecue chicken. But I decided that a minute on the lips is forever on the hips. At this point, I am still eating to survive. I eat every 3 hours or so to keep my metabolism up. I have all my food prepared to make it easier. When I get hungry, I need to consume whatever is in sight. So pre-preparing my meals makes life so much easier and curbs the craving. It is amazing how my metabolism is working. If I skip a snack, I realize that I am starving. My body has become accustomed to eating every few hours. I also have not had chocolate or mixed drinks in 3 weeks. I have had a few glasses of wine but nothing that brought me over my calories. I am feeling great and cannot wait for the final results.
